Nostalgic

We are so poor in words
That we could rot like sugar beet,
Without anyone noticing.

Only mother still knows how to seduce us,
With a nostalgic desire for jasmine flowers
Her breasts are too full of anticipation.

Oh, how much unspeakable pain
Such a misunderstood heart.
God give him more serene days!

A tear in his cheek furrows,
Long is the way home
Of the wandering son.

নস্টালজিক

কথায় খুব গরীব আমরা
যে  চিনির বিটের মতো পচে যেতে পারতাম আমরা
কারো খেয়াল ছাড়া

শুধুমাত্র মা এখনও জানে কিভাবে আমাদের করতে হয় প্রলুব্ধ,
একটি নস্টালজিক ইচ্ছার সঙ্গে জুঁই ফুলের জন্য
তার স্তন খুব প্রত্যাশায় পূর্ণ।

আহা, কত অব্যক্ত যন্ত্রণা
এমন ভুল বোঝা হৃদয়।
ঈশ্বর তাকে আরো নির্মল দিনগুলি দিন!

তার গালের রেখায় অশ্রু,
বাড়ির পথ দীর্ঘ
ভবঘুরে ছেলের।

About the Poetess
Lidia Popa is a poet, writer and essayist, graphic designer. She was born in Romania in 1964. She lives and workes in Italy. Her poems and literary essays have been translated into several languages.  She has published 6 books and is published in international anthologies and literary magazines in many countries.  She is recognized through numerous international awards including two Dr.H.C.  titles awarded.  She is the founder of the literary group and of the LIDO DELL'ANIMA International Prize.
