Signature

Who is in search of mystery?
Possibly someone cancels response.
None is perturbed, many indifferent.
The world goes on, putting Signatures.

A soul –half insane and half sane –
Comes running and says, reply is there.
The true mystery like me you can experience
Behold around you –
                    The world is full of signatures.
Signature! What’s up!
This mystery pours more content into itself.

More and more declarations.
A happy announcement, Oh! He wins polls.
Also, her signature wins,
Now signature sits on the peak,
What happens, time rolls on,
Signature is put inside the bars,
What a lurid phenomenon!
Signatures have innumerable gestures.
Signatures smell ancient blood,
A lot fled through the sly holes, illegible corridors –
Content and discontent overflood the hearts,
A gust of wind has blown away the rest amount of smell.

Heaps of ruins, secret plots and other intents,
                                       nameless and numberless,
Signatures perform lots of works –
Comfortable pens without thoughts.
Signatures really contain sane-insane souls
                      with which the world goes on.
No more search is on, all get stopped
Signature stands erect as a historical mystery.
From behind someone whispers
‘Quest is endless; signature has already been penned through.’

Dr. Gazi Abdulla-hel Baqui, poet, writer, translator, and a university professor, has already authored twenty seven books and a great number of his poems, (many haiku and rubaiyat), articles and stories have been published in different Newspapers, Magazines, Journals, Periodicals etc. . Besides being awarded internationally for his poetic accomplishments, he has many a time been honored by different organizations of Bangladesh for his contribution to literature, education and research. A solo cassette album of his eleven poems called `Visions’ and his poems in some anthologies have been published by The National Library of Poetry, Maryland. Poems are published by Oddball Magazine, English Teaching Forum, Poetry.com etc. His prize-winning poems on `Peace’ have been published in Official Catalogues by Cultura-e-Societa, Torino, Italy. His poems generally deal with peace and patriotism, eternal problems and lasting human conviction.
