তীব্র দাবদাহে পুড়ছে ছাদ।
ঘরের মধ্যে স্ত্রী পুত্র কন্যারা।
কিছুটা হলেও উষ্ণ আরামে তারা
দুপুরে খাবার খেয়ে বিশ্রাম।
ঘরের কোণে অসুস্থ মা।
সবার জন্য আহার ঔষধ পানির ব্যবস্থা করতে
দগ্ধ পৃথিবীর খোলা মাঠে
কোদাল কোপাতে গিয়ে ঘাম ঝরছে
চোখে মুখে তীব্র তাপের কদাকার চিহ্ন
পরিবারের কর্তা, পি-তা।
কর্ম শেষে বাড়ির উঠোনে পা রাখতেই
অসুস্থ মায়ের কাতরানী।
তালপাতার পাখাটা হাতে নিয়ে
মায়ের মাথার নিকট বসে ঘুরিয়ে চলেছে।
সেই-ই তো পিতা।
হাত পা ধুয়ে দুটো খেতে বসে।
ছোট ছেলেটা বলে, বাবা খাতা নেই।
স্ত্রীর আবদার-
শুনছো, আমার শাড়ি ছিঁড়ে গেছে।
বড় মেয়েটা কান্না করছে
বন্ধুরা সব পিকনিকে যাবে।
বাবা বলে, তুমিও যাবে।
মেয়ের মন আনন্দে ভরে ওঠে
তুমি আমার সোনা বাবা।
ঠিক বলেছ মা।
সেই-ই তো পিতা
বাক্সের কোণে ফেলে রাখা
টাকাগুলো হিসাব করে,
ঔষধ পথ্যাদি খাতা বই পিকনিক
স্ত্রীর শাড়ির খরচ হবে না তাতে।
মোড়লের বাড়ি গিয়ে চড়া সুদে আনে টাকা।
সবার সাধ হয় পূর্ণ।
নিজের পরনের লুঙ্গিটা ছেঁড়া,
সেদিকে তার নিজেরই ভ্রুক্ষেপ নেই।
রাতে চোখের পল্লব উঠানামা করে
ঘুমের লেস মাত্র নেই
পাশে ঘুমন্ত স্ত্রী
সকাল হলেই ছুটতে হবে কর্মস্থলে
সেই- ই তো পিতা।
মহান দায়িত্ব পালনের কর্তা।
প্রচন্ড শীতে সবার জন্য লেপের ব্যবস্থা।
নিজের শরীর ঢাকা ছেঁড়া কাঁথায়।
সেই-ই তো পিতা।
তাকে ক্লান্ত হতে নেই,
দুঃখ স্পর্শ করলেও অনুভূত হবে না,
রৌদ্র জলের স্পর্শে অসুখ অবহেলিত
অপাঙ্গের কোণে জল শুকিয়ে যায়।
সেই-ই তো পিতা।

কবি পরিচিতি:
এস এম মঈনুল হক খুব ছোট থেকে লেখালেখির জন্য হাতে কলম খাতা তুলে নেয়। ২০০৪ সালে কলকাতা বইমেলায় তার বিখ্যাত উপন্যাস "মণিবাগিচা" প্রকাশ করা হয়। দৈনিক দিনদর্পণ পত্রিকায় অনেক লেখা তার প্রকাশ হয়েছে ও বর্তমানে হচ্ছে। পুবের কলম পত্রিকায় কিছু অভিমতও প্রকাশ হয়েছে। মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলার ফুলসহরী গ্রামে তাঁর জন্ম। পিতা গোলাম আম্বিয়া ১৯৯৪ সালের ৮ই ডিসেম্বর পরলোক গমন করেন। মাতা নুরজাহান বেবি একজন ধার্মিক ও দানশীলা মহিলা। একমাত্র মেয়ে শবণম সালমা জাহান হক। বড় ছেলে মোমাইজুল হক ও ছোট ছেলে সানিউল হক। প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্য তিনি দারুণভাবে অবলোকন করেন। বেশ কিছু অনলাইন ম্যাগাজিন যেমন নবপ্রভাত ও বাংলাদেশ থেকে প্রকাশিত সাময়িকীতে তিনি লেখালেখি করেন। কলকাতার বেশকিছু little magazine এ ও তাঁর লেখা প্রকাশ হয়েছে এবং এখনো হচ্ছে। তাঁর স্ত্রী সাবিনা ইয়াসমিন মণিই হচ্ছে সবথেকে বড় অনুপ্রেরণা. Cloud of thoughts, Story Spinners Publication, Talets Vibes এর মত বিখ্যাত Publication গুলিতে ইংরেজি কবিতা, প্রবন্ধ , ছোট গল্প নিয়মিত প্রকাশ হচ্ছে।

My love, do not ask where your passion is

From you, longing brings contentment

A literal tide in you, my soul is leaving

For the disease, you are the medicine

O breeze of the soul, everything is in you

My color and yours are quenched by meeting

Nageh Ahmed Mohamed Abdul Fattah is a

senior teacher of Arabic language and Islamic education.He lives in Al-Maseed – Al-Edwa City – Minia Governorate - Upper Egypt. He was born on 6/30/1972 AD.

Biography:

Angela Kosta was born in Elbasan (Albania) and has lived in Italy since 1995. She is a translator, essayist, journalist, literary critic, publisher and promoter. She has published 14 books: novels, poems and fairy tales in Albanian, Italian and English.

The proceeds of his two books in Italy were donated to the non-profit association for research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and to the Association Daniele Chianelli for scientific research on Leukemia, Tumors and Lymphomas in children and adults. His poetic volume translated by scholar and writer Hasan Nashid, approved by the Bangladeshi Ministry of Culture, will soon be published in Bengali.

Her publications and translations have been published in various literary magazines and newspapers in several continental and intercontinental countries.

Angela Kosta translates and writes articles and interviews for the newspaper "Calabria Live", Saturno magazine, Alessandria Today Magazine, the international magazine "Orfeu:", the newspaper "Nacional", Gazeta Destinacioni, Perqasje Italo - Shqiptare, the magazine "Atunis", she collaborates with the magazines: "International Literature Language Journal (Michigan), Wordsmith International Editorial (Florida), Raven Cage (Germany), Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc.

Blood & Shadows

Jerry Langdon

In a sordid flow of ink

I watch my paradise sink.

Memories disperse in drear.

All but my longing disappear.

Tethered to a tormented soul

I endlessly fall down a hole

Of blood and shadows

As deep sorrow overthrows.

I bring my tears to page

Whilst the inner wars rage.

The strength on which I rely

Weakened by feelings I deny.

Denial doesn't make them go away.

My fight plunges me in a decay

Jerry Langdon is born on 2 May, 1967.

As A child I felt like a hand-me-down being raised by my Aunt. This is the root of who I am.

When He started drawing it was his escape from reality. Much like my poetry, most of my drawings became dark. He lived in two worlds. Under people I would try to smile or be indifferent, alone he drew or wrote of demons and dark things. These demons were mine; they were the true feelings he carried. He didn't start to write officially until 1985 when he was 17 and on my own. He wrote of dreams and about the love I felt but could never embrace. This was the birth of Sandman my later nickname and pseudonymn. Strangly enough he never directly signed anything under my pseudonymn. That mask was only there to give Jerry Langdon a platform. After all it was Jerry Langdon and not Sandman that was creating. Or was it?

He was born and raised in Southern Michigan. He graduated from school through Adult Education because he was 18 and the public school didn't like the fact that he was on my own. After graduating I went into the Army, which I had joined at 17. (The main reason why I was on my own at 17 as my Aunt did not take the news well and so we argued, fought and I was kicked out / left home. Call it a mutual decision.) The Army brought me to Germany October 1986. He stayed in the Army in Nuernberg Germany until 1991. Well I was based there; he did serve in Operation Desert Shield. He got out of the Army in 1992 and returned to Germany. He has been here since. He never knopw how to answer where he comes from as he lives most of his life in Germany but he is still an U.S. citizen. He is a Gemanerican ( German / American).

In June 1998 He started a literary Magazine. He called it Raven Cage; Raven being an homage to Edgar Allan Poe, Cage being a metaphore to the feelings we poets release, and the heart we often lock things away in. Poetry has always been a part of me and my love for it was the birth of Raven Cage. He has been in many facebook groups and am still in a few. One group stands out among them. Dark Poetry Society. I feel at home there. The talent alone in Dark Poetry Society led to the need for its own Magazine and so Dark Poetry Society Zine was born.

His writing inspirations are vast but my major influences and favorite poets are Edgar Alan Poe, Robert Frost, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. He loves music and am inspired by various rock bands plus a slew of Authors in many genres. He loves Terry Brooks, Tolkien, Pierced Anthony. He loves don't forget your towel Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchet, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker. The list can go on and on.

His motto in art and poetry is: There are no mistakes, there are only features.

About the coat

মাত্র চার বৎসর বয়সেই সে ইতিমধ্যেই সবার নজর কেড়েছে। এখনও সে কচি খোকা হলেও দাপিয়ে বেড়াচ্ছে সারা বিশ্বময়। সাড়া ফেলে দিয়েছে পাঠক মহলে।

22টি দেশ থেকে 200 জন কবি সাহিত্যিক কলম ধরেছেন এই সংখ্যায় । কবিতা140 টি , ইংরেজি কবিতা 45টি, গল্প 16টি প্রবন্ধ ,9টি ভ্রমণ কাহিনী, 02টি , আর্টিকেল 01টি, SATIRE 01টি নিয়ে হাজির হয়েছে আমাদের সামনে ।

মননশীল সম্পাদকীয় সহ এ সংখ্যার উল্লেখযোগ্য কিছু প্রবন্ধ যা পড়া একান্ত জরুরী বলে মনে হয় । " বাংলায় মুসলিম বিজয় ও বাংলা সাহিত্য “।ইতিহাসে হেঁসেল খুঁজে খুঁজে ইখতিয়ার উদ্দিন বক্তিয়ার খলজী 1206 সালে বাংলা আক্রমণের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে বাংলায় মুসলিম শাসন। তখন বাংলায় শাসন ভার সামাল দিচ্ছেন লক্ষণ সেন। সেই সময় সুফি, দরবেশ ,গাজীগণের চরিত্র মাধুরী পৌত্তলিক বাংলাদেশের মানুষের মনে প্রভাব বিস্তার করে।ইতিহাসের বিক্ষণে উঠে এসেছে পরম্পরা ও বাংলা সাহিত্যের অবদান ।সুন্দর ও সুচারু ভাবে ঐ সময়ের মূল্যবান তথ্য তুলেধরার চেষ্টা করেছেন আবদুস সালাম মহাশয় ।( বিশ্ব ভাতৃত্ববাদ , নাজিম হিকমত, আব্দেল নাসের ও আমরা) নিয়ে কলম ধরেছেন খগেন্দ্রনাথ অধিকারী। (নব প্রজন্ম ও ভয়াবহ প্রকৃতি) নিয়ে কলম ডঃ রমলা মুখার্জী (ভারতের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের ইতিহাসে কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম ছিলেন এক উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র) নিয়ে সুন্দর ও মনোজ্ঞ আলোচনা উপহার দিয়েছেন মনিরুজ্জামান মহাশয়। (আধুনিক ছন্দের শিকড় সন্ধানে) নিয়ে লিখেছেন ফারুক প্রধান । নতুন প্রজন্মের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের অভিভাবকদের সচেতন তা মূলক নিবন্ধ উপহার দিয়েছেন স্বনামধন্য ডাক্তার আশিকুল আলম বিশ্বাস। অনেক অনেক শুভেচ্ছা।

দেশ-বিদেশের বহু স্বনামধন্য কবিদেরকে এই পত্রিকায় ঠাঁই দিয়েছেন। যাদের কবিতা বিশ্বের দরবারে পাঠকের মনে সাড়া জাগায়। সুদূর আমেরিকা, লন্ডন, নেদারল্যান্ড, বাংলাদেশ, তাজিকিস্তান, সিরিয়া, লিবিয়া, ইতালি, বসনিয়া, অস্ট্রিয়া, ইরাক, রোমানিয়া, কাজাকিস্তান, কানাডা, সার্বিয়া, চিন ,আর্জেন্টিনা, জার্মানি, চিলি, বেলারুশ, ব্রাজিল, রিপাবলিক অফ নেপাল ইত্যাদি দেশের কবি ও লেখকের লেখা রয়েছে। এই অসামান্য কৃতিত্ব নতুন সম্পাদককে উৎসাহিত করবে তার বলার অপেক্ষা রাখেনা।

গল্প বিভাগে এই সংখ্যাতে স্থান পেয়েছে 16টি গল্প । যাদের গল্প মনে দাগ কাটে সুমিতা চৌধুরী, এম মতিন, মতিয়ার রহমান, মুসকান ডালিয়া, নাফিসা খান।

নদের চাঁদ হাজরা এবং রিজিয়া সুলতানার ভ্রমণ কাহিনী পড়ে অনেক অজানা তথ্য সামনে এলো। সেখানে আমাদের ঘুরে আসার তৃষ্ণা বাড়িয়ে দিল।

মুক্ত গদ্য কোথায় হারিয়ে গেল পড়তে পড়তে নস্টালজিক হয়ে পড়ছিলাম।

বিদেশি লেখকগণের জন্য ইংরেজি ভাষায় রয়েছে 45টি কবিতা একটি আর্টিকেল ও একটি স্যাটায়ার।

ইংরেজি পড়ে মতামত জানানোর ক্ষমতা আমার নেই। তাই ঐ দিকে হাত বাড়ানোর মিথ্যে সাহস দেখায়নি।

তরুণ অথচ একজন বেকার সম্পাদক মহাশয় কে অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ জানাই এতো বড়ো কাজের বোঝা মাথায় নেওয়ার জন্য।

অনেক অনেক শুভেচ্ছা নতুন সম্পাদক মহাশয় কে। সুন্দর প্রচ্ছদ ,অসাধারণ, পত্রিকাটি এ বছরের সেরা ম্যাগাজিন বলে আমার মনে হয় ।বিনা বিজ্ঞাপনে এমন সুন্দর পত্রিকা করতে সম্পাদকের কতখানি রক্ত জল হয়েছে তা অনুধাবনযোগ্য ।এখানে প্রত্যেক কবি , গল্পকার এবং প্রাবন্ধিক গণের বাসস্থানের নাম উল্লেখ করেছেন। এই পত্রিকায় এটি নতুন সংযোজন। এতে কবি সাহিত্যিকগণের বেড়ে ওঠার সীমানা সম্বন্ধে আমরা অবিহিত হতে পারি।

নবীন সম্পাদক মহাশয়ের আগামীতে আরো ভালো সংখ্যা উপহার দিবেন এই আশায় রইলাম।

ধ্যান আর ধ্যানাচি এক নয়: একইভাবে "Meditation" আর "Media-Attention" ও এক নয়। হিটলার আর্যরক্তের পবিত্রতার দোহাই পেড়ে অগণিত ইহুদির রক্তে হাত রাঙিয়ে, নিজের পক্ষে অ-ইহুদিদের ভাবাবেগকে কাজে লাগাতে, চরম ব্যভিচারী জীবন যাত্রা তার রক্ষিতা ইভা ব্রাউনের সঙ্গে অব্যাহত রেখে হঠাৎ খুব ঈশ্বরভক্তি তথা ধর্মকর্ম করার ভান করেন। কিন্তু তাতে তাঁর, তাঁর রক্ষিতা ইভার, কিংবা গোটা নাৎসীদের রেহাই হয়নি। সোভিয়েত লাল ফৌজের হাতে তাদের বিনাশ ঘটেছে, ভূগর্ভস্থ বাঙ্কারে হিটলার--ইভাকে যথাক্রমে পিস্তলের গুলি ও সায়নায়েড ক্যাপসুলে আত্মহত্যা করতে হয়েছে। উগ্র মুসলিম বিদ্বেষে ইসরায়েলের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেঞ্জামিন নেতানিয়াহু ও তাঁর মদতদাতা মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট জো বাইডেন হাজার হাজার নিরপরাধ প্যালেস্টাইনবাসীকে খুন করে ইহুদি ভাবাবেগকে কাজে লাগাতে এখন "জিহোভা"র দোহাই পাড়ছে। কিন্তু তাতে কোন লাভ হচ্ছে না। খোদ ইসরায়েলে রাজধানী শহর জেরুশালেমে ও প্রধান বাণিজ্য শহর তেল আভিভে জেরুজালেমে ও প্রধান বাণিজ্য শহর তেল আভিভে ইহুদিরা প্যালেস্টাইনকে স্বাধীন রাষ্ট্র হিসাবে মেনে নেবার দাবী তুলে রাজপথে নেমেছে। একইভাবে মার্কিন জণগন জাতি ধর্ম নির্বিশেষে সে দেশের বড় বড় শহরগুলিতে উত্তাল বিক্ষোভে সরব হয়ে উঠেছেন। অর্থাৎ, মানুষের খুনে হাত রাঙিয়ে এখন ঈশ্বর ভক্তির ভেক ধরে শতচেষ্টা করেও মার্কিন সাম্রাজ্যবাদ ও তার তাঁবেদার ইসরায়েল এখন হালে পানি পাচ্ছে না।
মার্কিন সাম্রাজ্যবাদের আর তার উচ্ছিষ্টভোগী তথা ইসরাইলী প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেঞ্জামিন নেতানিয়াহুর দোসর, আমাদের দেশের বি. জে. পি সরকারের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী উগ্র হিন্দুত্ববাদী তথা মুসলিম ও খৃশ্চান বিদ্বেষবাদী দৃষ্টি কোণে অশোক--আকবর--দারাশিকো--বিবেকানন্দ--রবীন্দ্রনাথ--নজরুলের মাটিকে, গঙ্গা--যমুনা--গোদাবরী--সবরমতির তরঙ্গ বিধৌত ভূমিকে রক্ত সিক্ত করেছেন, দেশের ঐক্য, সংহতি ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ সংবিধানকে বিপন্ন করেছেন ও করছেন, সর্ব্বোপরি এই লোকসভা নির্বাচনকে কেন্দ্র করে বিভাজনের রাজনীতির বিষবাষ্প ছড়িয়ে গোটা দেশে বিষাক্ত পরিবেশ সৃষ্টি করেছেন।
১লা জুন হয়েছে শেষ দফার ভোট। ৩০শে মে বিকেলে হয়েছে শেষ দফার ভোটের প্রচার শেষ। তার আগেই এই ৩০ তারিখে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী গেরুয়া বসন পরে বসেছেন কন্যাকুমারিকায় বিবেকানন্দ রকে তথাকথিত ধ্যানে অর্থাৎ Meditation-এ। আসলে এটাও ১লা জুন ভোট শেষ হবার আগের মুহুর্ত পর্যন্ত হিন্দু ভাবাবেগকে উস্কে ভোট দাতাদেরকে Media-Attention মারফৎ অর্থাৎ গণপ্রচার মাধ্যম মারফৎ প্রভাবিত করার এক সুচতুর কৌশল। শুধু তাই নয়। লক্ষণীয় যে ১লা জুন শেষ দফায় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের প্রায় এক চতুর্থাংশ অর্থাৎ নয়টি আসনে ভোট হবে। এই রাজ্যেরই মানুষ ছিলেন স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ। সুতরাং একইসঙ্গে হিন্দুভাবাবেগ ও বাঙালী ভাবাবেগকে উস্কে এই আসনগুলির ভোট দাতাদেরকে পদ্ম শিবিরের দিকে প্রভাবিত করার লক্ষ্যে কন্যাকুমারিকার বিবেকানন্দ রককে ধ্যানের জায়গা হিসাবে বাছাই করা হয়েছে।
কিন্তু, পশ্চিমবাংলার মানুষ তথা সারা ভারতবর্ষের মানুষ অতো মূর্খ নন। তথাকথিত ধ্যানের নামে ধ্যানাচির চালাকি খুব ভালো তাঁরা বোঝেন। তাই বিগত লোকসভা নির্বাচনের ফলাফল থেকে বোঝা যায় যে ভারতের সিংহভাগ মানুষ হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বী হলেও, বি. জে. পি চল্লিশ শতাংশের চেয়েও অনেক অনেক কম ভোট পেয়েও সরকারে গেছে আমাদের দেশের বহুদলীয় সংসদীয় গণতান্ত্রিক ব্যবস্থার কারণে। কি বাঙালী, কি অবাঙালী নির্বিশেষে এই দেশের শুভবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন হিন্দুরা আর যাই হোক মানবী মাতার সন্তান: তাঁরা জয় সিয়ারামের চেলাচেলীদের মত "গো মাতার" সন্তান নন। তাই তাঁরা স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের জীবনের ইতিহাসটা জানেন। তাঁরা জানেন যে স্বামীজী ভারতমাতার সন্ধানে বেরিয়ে কাশ্মীরে ঝিলাম নদীর এক মুসলিম মাঝির কিশোরী কন্যাকে মাতৃজ্ঞানে পূজো করেছিলেন এবং সেখান থেকেই শারদীয়া মহাষ্টমী তিথিতে হয়েছিল কুমারী পূজার চল। সুতরাং স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের মূর্তির সামনে বিবেকানন্দ রকে বসে গেরুয়া বসন পরে ধ্যানের ধ্যানাচী করে না বাঙালী হিন্দু, না অবাঙালী হিন্দু, কোন ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ হিন্দুকে প্রভাবিত করা যাবে না। এই ধরনের শুভবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন হিন্দুদের সংখ্যাই এদেশে বেশী এবং তাঁরা মুসলিম--খৃশ্চান--বৌদ্ধ--জৈন সবার সঙ্গে মৈত্রীর আবেশে বসবাস করতে চান এবং বসবাস করে আসছেন। শুধুমাত্র অ বি. জে. পি ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ দলগুলির মধ্যে পারস্পরিক বোঝাপড়ার অভাবেই বিগত নির্বাচনগুলিতে কেন্দ্র ও বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে বি. জে. পি ক্ষমতায় এসেছে ৩৫%-৪০% এর মধ্যে ভোট পেয়ে: কোথাও কোথাও তার চেয়েও কম ভোট পেয়ে।
এবারের পরিস্থিতি অনেকটাই অন্য রকমের। বাম ও গণতান্ত্রিক দলগুলি নূন্যতম কর্মসূচীর ভিত্তিতে ইন্ডিয়া জোট তৈরী করেছেন ফলে অ-বি. জে. পি ভোটের বিভাজন কম হবে। তাই নরেন্দ্র মোদীদের ক্ষমতাচ্যূত হবার সম্ভাবনা প্রবল। সে কারণ Meditation -এর নামে "Media-Attention" "Draw" করে শেষ পর্বের ভোট দাতাদেরকেও প্রভাবিত করার জন্য এই ছলনার আশ্রয় নেওয়া হয়েছে। মনে রাখতে হবে যে বিশ্বের যে কোন ধনবাদী দেশগুলির মত আমাদের দেশেও "Media" অর্থাৎ গণমাধ্যমগুলি, যথা বেতার, দূরদর্শন, সংবাদপত্র ইত্যাদি সবগুলিই বড় বড় ধনীক গোষ্ঠীর হাতে। মোদী সরকার তো তাদেরই সেবা দাস। তারা তাদের স্বার্থেই চায় বি. জে. পি ক্ষমতায় ফিরে আসুক। তাই ধর্মীয় ভাবাবেগ সৃষ্টিকারী ফটো, অর্থাৎ নরেন্দ্র মোদীর গেরুয়া বসন পরা ধ্যান মগ্ন ছবি প্রচার করে হিন্দু ভোট দাতাদের মন জয় করার কাজে গণমাধ্যমগুলি কোমর বেঁধে লেগেছে।
কিন্তু এরা মূর্খ। এরা ইতিহাসের শিক্ষাটা জানে না। নরেন্দ্র মোদীদের ভাবগুরু হিটলারের প্রচার সচিব গোয়েবেলস্‌ ছিলেন ভাণ্ডামি ও মিথ্যাচারের "সিদ্ধ (কু) পুরুষ"। তিনি বলতেন একটা মিথ্যা কথা একশবার বললে, কিংবা একটা ভণ্ডামি একশবার করলে, একশ একবারের বার মানুষ সেটাকে সত্য বলে মনে করবে। কিন্তু সেই কুখ্যাত গোয়েবলস্‌ ও বাঁচেননি, বাঁচাতে পারেননি তাঁর মহানায়ক হিটলারকে। একইভাবে আমাদের দেশের বৃহৎ ধনী পরিবারগুলির নিয়ন্ত্রিত গণমাধ্যমগুলিও পারবে না মোদী রাজকে অর্থাৎ বি. জে. পি শাসনকে বাঁচাতে ঐ ধ্যানের ধ্যানাচি করা ছবি দেখিয়ে।
মোট কথা, সামাজিক বিজ্ঞানের বিভিন্ন শাখার গবেষণালব্ধ ফলের ভিত্তিতে একথা বলা যায় যে মানুষের আর্থ--সামাজিক--রাজনৈতিক আচরণের উপর "Media-Attention" বা গণমাধ্যমের প্রচারের একটা প্রভাব আছে। প্রভাব আছে বলেই তো গোয়েবলস্‌ এর মত শয়তান প্রচার সচিবের দৌলতে হিটলার এতখানি অক্সিজেন পেয়েছিলেন। না হলে বহু আগেই তাঁর পতন হোত। কিন্তু এটাও এর থেকে পরিষ্কার যে মিথ্যা প্রচার বা ভনিতা সাময়িকভাবে মানুষকে গণমাধ্যমের দ্বারা বিভ্রান্ত করতে পারে, কিন্তু বেশীদিন পারে না। সত্য প্রকাশ হয়ই হয় এবং তখন মানুষ ঐ অপপ্রচারকারীদের চরম দণ্ড দেয়, যেমন ঘটেছিল নাৎসী ও ফ্যাসিস্টদের কপালে। আমাদের দেশেও নরেন্দ্র মোদী ও তার চেলাদের কপালে ঐ একই জিনিষ ঘটবে--ভণ্ডামী ও ধাপ্পাবাজির মুখোষ খুলতে আর দেরী নেই, যেমন দেরী হয়নি জো-বাইডেন ও বেঞ্জামিন নেতানিয়াহুদের মুখোশ খুলতে। সব ধাপ্পাবাজি ও ভণ্ডামি বুঝতে পেরে উত্তর গোলার্ধের আয়ারল্যাণ্ডসহ একাধিক দেশ প্যালেস্টাইনকে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছে এবং আরও অনেক দেশ সেই পথে এগুচ্ছে।
তাই বলি, আমাদের দেশের ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ শুভবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন "Public" আমাদের এই গণতান্ত্রিক ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ সার্ব্বভৌম "Republic" কে জয় সীয়ারামদের রাক্ষসকূলের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করবে, আবার দিকে দিকে ভেসে উঠবে, নজরুলের সেই হৃদয় জুড়ানো গান--
"মোরা একই বৃন্তে দু'টি কুসুম হিন্দু মুসলমান,
মুসলিম তার নয়ন মণি,
হিন্দু তাহার প্রাণ।"

WITH LOVE AND CONCERN Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana Hyderabad, Telangana State, India

In the name of caste, creed, race and religion

Clashes and conflicts are ignited for a rebellion;

Between self-centric forces, victims are civilians

Where are we heading to, introspect, oh human!

Mutual trust and harmony are powerful weapons

They can keep at bay, the forces of destruction;

To fortify the bond of love and friendly relations,

Unity and understanding are the reliable options.

Let the superiority complex diminish in humans

Let bitter thoughts replace ‘with love and concern’;

‘Peace’ is a mighty weapon to avert all conflicts,

May righteousness reign in every human thought!

Peace exists if we succeed to uplift the downtrodden

Peace prevails if we overcome, difference of opinion;

Know, bloodshed can never bring peace but bread can,

Even destruction cannot bring peace, but harmony can.

BRIEF BIO : During 30-year stint with poetry, Ashok’s poetry saw the light in no less than 100 countries in various literary magazines, newspapers, e-zines, journals, anthologies etc. However, for the past one decade the poet shifted his concern towards universal issues by choosing to write on Universal Peace, World Brotherhood, Environment Consciousness, Protection of Nature, Safeguarding Children’s and Human Rights, uplifting the oppressed-downtrodden etc. For his contribution towards promotion of world peace and harmonious culture, he was conferred with several prestigious national and international awards, apart from Doctor of Literature, Honoris Cause, Doctor of Letters and so on. Even if my feet burn on the stage of oblivion

আত্ম-অন্বেষণ এর পরিক্রমা

অবেলার অস্তরাগে দাঁড়িয়ে কোনো দার্শনিক যখন তাঁর দীর্ঘ ছায়া মাপেন, তখন পেছনে ফেলে আসা তাঁর জীবনকেই দেখতে থাকেন। যে জীবন সমস্ত দিনের শেষে শুধু শূন্যতাই পেয়েছে, নিঃস্ব দুহাতে শুধু স্মৃতির ধুলোই মেখেছে। তখন অনুভব করেন:
“But there is another part of you. Your shadow self. And it has power.”

অর্থাৎ আপনার আরেকটি অংশ আছে। তা নিজের ছায়া নিজেই এবং এর শক্তিও আছে।
রোমান্স ও ফ্যান্টাসি জগতের সমসাময়িক বিখ্যাত লেখিকা লেক্সি রায়ানের এই উপলব্ধিতে সেই দ্বিতীয় সত্তাটিরই সন্ধান পেলাম অরিন্দম চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের সম্প্রতি প্রকাশিত ‘অবেলার অস্তরাগে’(কলকাতা বইমেলা ২০২৪) কাব্যগ্রন্থে।
মোট ৫৭ টি কবিতা নিয়ে কবিজীবনের অস্তরাগে প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে এই ছায়াময় দ্বিতীয় সত্তার সংলাপ।এখানে অন্তঃস্থল জুড়ে দহনজ্বালা নিয়ে দাঁড়ানো কোনো দার্শনিক পুরুষকে গোধূলি রঙে রঙিন হতে দেখি। জীবন নিয়ে ভাবতে ভাবতে জীবনের প্রান্তে নিষ্কলক দৃষ্টিতে সেই শূন্যতাকেই তিনি নিরীক্ষণ করেছেন। থাকা না-থাকার ভাবনা থেকেই ঢেউ-এর ক্রম উত্থানকে জীবনবাদের সঙ্গে তুলনা করে জন্মান্তরের দিকে অগ্রসর হতে চেয়েছেন। সমগ্র কবিচেতনাতেই সেই সীমাহীন অন্বেষণ লক্ষ করা যায়:
“একটা সীমানাবিহীন ভূমিখণ্ড
ও প্রসারিত আকাশের জন্য
নিরন্তর অন্বেষণে পথ হেঁটে চলেছি”
জীবন যে পথহাঁটা The travelling of life তা বলাই বাহুল্য। এই পথহাঁটা জন্মান্তরের ভেতর দিয়ে বহুরূপে আবির্ভূত হওয়া এ-কথা প্রায় সব কবির বোধেই ধরা পড়েছে। জীবনানন্দ দাশ এই কারণেই লিখেছিলেন “হাজার বছর ধরে আমি পথ হাঁটিতেছি পৃথিবীর পথে”।এই পথহাঁটার মধ্যেই জীবনের বিস্তার ও প্রবাহ অনন্ত হয়ে ওঠে। মানবজন্মে না হলেও তা ভিন্নরূপে ভিন্ন প্রকৃতিতে বিস্তৃতি পেয়েছে। কবির এই সর্বব্যাপী বোধের ছায়া পড়েছে কবিতাগুলিতে। বেহুলানদীর মতো একলা জীবনের খণ্ডচেতনা থেকে নিষ্পত্র বৃক্ষ হয়ে ওঠার মধ্যেও এর চলন অনুভব করেছেন। প্রকৃতির দৃশ্যময় চিত্রকল্পেও এর নৈঃশব্দ্যযাপন নির্ণয় করেছেন:
“বিষণ্ণ পাতার মতো গড়িয়ে যাওয়া জীবন
গ্রীষ্ম হাওয়ায় উড়ে যাওয়া মেঘ
সম্পর্কহীন দূরে কোথাও….
বা আঁকাবাঁকা পথের মতো হারিয়ে যাওয়া
গহীন অন্ধকারের কোনো অরণ্যভূমির ভেতর
চারিদিক জুড়ে শুধুই নৈঃশব্দ্য….”
এই নৈঃশব্দ্যই সত্তার অভিরূপ যা প্রজ্ঞানের গভীরে অবস্থিত। এইখান থেকেই অন্তরের আবহমান সৃজন প্রবাহ। ঘুম ও জাগরণ, উত্থান ও সুষুপ্তির ক্রিয়াগুলি সন্নিবিষ্ট হয়েছে। তাই জীবন জুড়ে এখনো সজীব স্মৃতিদাগ বহন করে চলেছেন। নিসর্গ ভাষার সম্মোহনে ডুবে যাওয়া অচিনপুরের শূন্যভুমিতে পৌঁছে যাওয়া সবই আত্মপথের পরিক্রমা। ক্লান্তিহীন এই পরিক্রমাকেই চিহ্নিত করে কবি লিখেছেন:
“এইভাবে দশকের পর দশকের
পথ ভেঙে ভেঙে যেন শূন্যভূমি হয়ে যাওয়া”
তখন দার্শনিক বোধের তীব্রতাও মর্মকে আলোড়িত করেছে। বেঁচে থাকাও তখন ক্লিশে মনে হয়েছে। অন্তর্গত বিষাদ পার্থিব জীবনের অন্তরায় এনে দিয়েছে। তখন কবি লিখেছেন:
“অবেলার অস্তরাগ
চমকিত হয়ে ওঠে অন্তকাল”
কবি যেন জীবনসন্ধির প্রাজ্ঞমুহূর্তে উপস্থিত হয়েছেন। তাই মনের মধ্যে যেমন দ্বান্দ্বিক পর্যায়ের উত্থান ঘটেছে, তেমনি অবচেতনের সংশয় ক্লিষ্ট পীড়নও শুরু হয়েছে।সেই কারণেই কবিতাগুলি বহুমুখী জীবন প্রবাহের স্ফুরণ হয়ে উঠেছে।
কবির এই পরিক্রমায় পৌরাণিক ভূমিও সামিল হয়েছে। গান্ধারীর সত্যভেদ, অহল্যা সময়ের জাগরণ সবকিছুই সত্তার নবরূপায়ণ। তেমনি বরাক উপত্যকায় ভাষা আন্দোলনের শহিদ বিপ্লবী কমলা ভট্টাচার্যের আত্মদানও ইতিহাসের কণ্ঠস্বর হয়ে অনন্তগামিতায় সম্মোহনের দরজা খুলে দিয়েছে। তাই কাব্যটি ব্যক্তিচেতনা থেকে পুরাণচেতনা, সময়চেতনা থেকে ইতিহাস চেতনার সামগ্রিক পর্যায়কে
ধারণ করেছে। কবি সবকিছুর মাঝেই এক দার্শনিক পর্যটক হয়ে চেতনালোকের সীমানায় আত্ম-অন্বেষণ এর পরিক্রমা করেছেন।

In my forgotten bag,

I stored my choked voice,

and there is a dream that carries the secret of inspiration.

I imagined you in the mirrors as you roam the horizon,

Searching for the warmth of voices, for a bird and its echo,

And a heartbeat untouched by obscurity.

The burning hole in our depths receives sustenance from the crevice of the unseen,

Mixed with tears, soaked in pain.

You crouch like a stricken one in secret,

Slipping between the shells of dispersion to spill into the saltiness of groans.

And between the embrace of silence and the dark times,

You stand staring,

Collapsing on the paths of bewilderment like a storm toyed with by the wind.

She teaches Arabic language to non-native speakers, holds a degree in law and political science, editor and head of the translation department at various literary newspapers and magazines. The evening lit up in purple

The evening turned purple.

The day will pass inexorably.

The arch of the sky in the stars is impeccable.

Moon is assigned a ballot.

On the tower, counting time,

The clock hands are flashing.

And an echo from the tram

Delivers a message from the past.

Peace surrounds the surroundings.

My city is getting ready to sleep.

I catch time with a net,

Trying to curb the arrows.

Words playing with a melody

Striving to find meaning

The grass in the garden is flooded

animal for centuries

She knows every spot of luminosity, dimness

and confidentials that are not recorded in our

Non-fictionals

Terra firma is part of her and as well the supporter

of all that exist within her

For it is written man must till to live to overcome

the state of been still

Grain, herbs and all greens are rooted within Terra firma,

to abund for feed and cure

Both flora and fauna can't do without the Adam's ale,

For it is significant and as well one of her component

It is not an awe that only the attentive ear listen to her

when she whispered

Therefore;

When chronicles are said in chronological,

The attentive mind understandeth well

And when questions are left unanswered,

কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম: এক আধারে অনেককিছু

কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম (২৪.৫.১৮৯৯-২৯.৮.১৯৭৬/১১ই জ্যৈষ্ঠ, ১৩০৬-১২ই ভাদ্র, ১৩৮৩) বাংলা সাহিত্যের ইতিহাসে এক বিরল ব্যক্তিত্ব। অন্যান্য সাহিত্যিকদের থেকে তাঁর জীবন কাহিনী অনেকটাই আলাদা। তাই তাঁকে কেন্দ্র করে আমাদের অর্থাৎ বাঙালিদের মধ্যে একটা ভিন্ন মাত্রার আবেগ, উচ্ছ্বাস ও ভালোবাসা লক্ষ্য করা যায়। তাঁর সৃজনশীল সৃষ্টিকর্ম ও সামগ্ৰিক জীবনযাত্রা নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে আমরা আগ্রহবোধ করি। আমাদের আর্থ-সামাজিক পরিস্থিতির ধারাবাহিকতায় তাঁর ভাবনার প্রাসঙ্গিকতা প্রতিটি মুহূর্তে অনুভূত হয়। এবছর (২০২৪/১৪৩১) তাঁর জন্মের ১২৫তম বর্ষপূর্তি। এই বিশেষ বর্ষে বাঙালির সাংস্কৃতিক মনন বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে তাঁকে স্মরণ করছে।

১৯০৮ সালে মাত্র নয় বছর বয়সে নজরুল পিতৃহীন হন।অভাবের সংসারে তখন থেকেই তিনি অভিভাবকহীন হয়ে পড়েন। পড়াশোনা ও অর্থোপার্জনের পথ নিজেই খোঁজার চেষ্টা করেন।দশ বছর বয়সে মক্তব তথা প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষা শেষ করেই কার্যত শিশু শ্রমিকে পরিণত হন।দু'পয়সা রোজগার করার মসজিদের মোয়াজ্জিন ও কবরের সেবকের কাজ নেন। এরপর রাঢ় বাংলার কবিতা, গান ও নৃত্যের মিশ্র আঙ্গিক লোকনাট্য লেটো দলে গায়ক, পালাকার ও অভিনেতা হিসেবে যোগ দেন। আসলে তখন থেকেই তাঁর বোহেমিয়ান জীবনের সূত্রপাত। একদিকে তিনি পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করছেন, অন্যদিকে দু'মুঠো অন্নের জন্য এখানে ওখানে কায়িক শ্রম করছেন।

নজরুল ইসলাম ১৯১০ সালে প্রথমে রাণীগঞ্জ সিয়ারসোল রাজস্কুল ও পরে মাথরুন নবীনচন্দ্র ইনস্টিটিউটশনে ভর্তি হন। কিন্তু আর্থিক অনটনের কারণে পড়াশোনা ছেড়ে অন্ডাল স্টেশনের এক গার্ডের বাড়িতে পরিচারক হিসেবে নিযুক্ত হন। এরপর আসানসোলে এক চা-রুটির দোকানে কাজ নেন। ১৯১৪ সালে পুলিশ আধিকারিক রফিজউল্লাহ নজরুলকে ময়মনসিংহ জেলায় নিজের বাড়িতে নিয়ে আসেন এবং দরিরামপুর হাইস্কুলে সপ্তম শ্রেণীতে ভর্তি করে দেন। কিন্তু পরের বছর কাউকে কিছু না জানিয়ে তিনি বর্ধমানে ফিরে আসেন এবং প্রথমে অ্যালবার্ট ইন্সটিটিউশন ও পরে পুনরায় রাণীগঞ্জ সিয়ারসোল রাজস্কুলে অষ্টম শ্রেণীতে ভর্তি হন।দশম শ্রেণীর 'ফার্স্ট বয়' হওয়া সত্ত্বেও ম্যাট্রিকুলেশন পরীক্ষা না দিয়ে ১৯১৭ সালের শেষের দিকে সেনাবাহিনীতে যোগ দেন। প্রথমে কলকাতা ফোর্ট উইলিয়ামে, পরে সীমান্ত প্রদেশের নৌশেরায় এবং শেষে করাচি সেনানিবাসে ১৯২০ সালের মার্চ মাস পর্যন্ত সৈনিক জীবন অতিবাহিত করেন। এই আড়াই বছরে তিনি ৪৯ বেঙ্গলি রেজিমেন্টের একজন সাধারণ সৈনিক থেকে ব্যাটেলিয়ান কোয়ার্টার মাস্টার হাবিলদার পদে উন্নীত হন।

করাচি সেনানিবাসে নজরুলের সাহিত্য ও সঙ্গীত চর্চা অব্যাহত ছিল। তিনি সেখান থেকে ডাকযোগে কলকাতার বিভিন্ন পত্রপত্রিকায় লেখা পাঠাতেন। ছাপার অক্ষরে তাঁর প্রথম প্রকাশিত রচনা 'বাউণ্ডেলের আত্মকাহিনী'। এটি একটি গল্প যা 'সওগাত' পত্রিকায় ১৯১৯ সালে প্রকাশিত হয়। একই বছরে কবিতা 'মুক্তি' এবং প্রবন্ধ 'তুর্ক মহিলার ঘোমটা খোলা' প্রকাশিত হয় যথাক্রমে 'বঙ্গীয় মুসলমান সাহিত্য পত্রিকা' ও 'সওগাত'-এ।

সৈনিক জীবন শেষে ১৯২০ সালের এপ্রিলে কলকাতায় এসে নজরুল সাহিত্যকর্মকেই ধ্যানজ্ঞান করেন। ১৯২১ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসের শেষ সপ্তাহে রচিত ও '২২ সালের জানুয়ারিতে প্রকাশিত কবিতা 'বিদ্রোহী' বাইশ বছরের যুবক নজরুলকে খ্যাতি ও জনপ্রিয়তার শীর্ষে পৌঁছে দেয়। তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্যে 'বিদ্রোহী কবি' হিসেবে পরিচিত হন। 'বিদ্রোহী'র মতো আলোড়ন সৃষ্টিকারী কবিতা সমগ্র বিশ্ব সাহিত্যেই বিরল। তাঁর প্রকাশিত প্রথম গ্ৰন্থ প্রবন্ধ সংকলন 'যুগবাণী'(১৯২২) আর প্রথম কাব্যগ্রন্থ 'অগ্নি-বীণা'(১৯২২)। তিনি তেইশ বছরের (১৯১৯-১৯৪২) সাহিত্য জীবনে লেখেন ২১টি কাব্যগ্রন্থ, ১৪টি সঙ্গীতগ্ৰন্থ, ৫টি প্রবন্ধগ্ৰন্থ, ৩টি করে কাব্যানুবাদ, উপন্যাস, গল্পগ্ৰন্থ ও নাটক এবং ২টি করে কিশোরকাব্য ও কিশোর নাটিকা। তিনি অন্তত চারটি পত্রিকা সম্পাদনা বা পরিচালনার সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন। প্রথম প্রকাশের সময়কাল অনুযায়ী পত্রিকাগুলো হল: ১.নবযুগ- জুলাই ১৯২০, ২.ধূমকেতু- আগস্ট ১৯২২, ৩.লাঙল- ডিসেম্বর ১৯২৫ ও ৪.গণবাণী- আগস্ট ১৯২৬।

নজরুলের সাহিত্য সাধনার বেশিরভাগ সময় ব্যয় হয়েছে সঙ্গীত রচনায়। এর পেছনে তাঁর সঙ্গীতপ্রেম ছাড়াও একটা আর্থিক কারণ ছিল। পত্রপত্রিকায় কবিতা বা বিভিন্ন ধরনের গদ্য লিখে সে সময় সেভাবে দক্ষিণা পাওয়া যেত না। অথচ আয়ের অন্য কোনো উৎস না থাকায় লেখালেখি করেই তাঁকে সংসার প্রতিপালন করার কথা ভাবতে হয়েছে। এজন্য গীতিকার, সুরকার ও সংগীত-শিক্ষক হিসেবে অর্থোপার্জন করার জন্য তিনি গ্ৰামোফোন কোম্পানি এবং কলকাতা বেতার কেন্দ্রের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হন। একই কারণে মঞ্চ ও চলচিত্র জগতের সঙ্গেও তাঁর সম্পর্ক গড়ে ওঠে।বাংলা গানের সম্ভারকে যথেষ্ট পরিমাণে সমৃদ্ধ করার ক্ষেত্রে নজরুলগীতির অনেক অবদান রয়েছে।

নজরুল ইসলাম যেমন সৈনিক থেকে সাহিত্যিক হয়েছেন তেমনি বাংলা ভাষার একমাত্র সাহিত্যিক হিসেবে রাজদ্রোহিতার অভিযোগে কারাদণ্ড ভোগ করেছেন। তাঁর অর্ধসাপ্তাহিক পত্রিকা ধূমকেতু কার্যত সশস্ত্র বিপ্লবীদের মুখপাত্র হয়ে উঠেছিল। স্বভাবতই ব্রিটিশ প্রশাসন বিষয়টি ভালো চোখে দেখেনি। ১৯২২-এর সেপ্টেম্বর মাসের একটি সংখ্যায় তাঁর রচনা 'আনন্দময়ীর আগমনে' প্রকাশিত হয়। এটি একটি রাজনৈতিক কবিতা যা ব্রিটিশ শাসনের অনাচার অত্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে লেখা হয়।এর প্রতিক্রিয়ায় ২৩শে নভেম্বর কুমিল্লা থেকে তাঁকে গ্ৰেফতার করে কলকাতায় আনা হয়। তিনি বিচারাধীন বন্দী হিসেবে ১৯২৩-এর ৭ই জানুয়ারি আত্মপক্ষ সমর্থন করে আদালতে এক অসাধারণ বক্তব্য পেশ করেন যা বাংলা সাহিত্যের ইতিহাসে অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ প্রবন্ধ 'রাজবন্দীর জবানবন্দী' নামে পরিচিত। অনেক কথার মাঝে তিনি বলেন,"... আমি কবি, আমি অপ্রকাশ সত্যকে প্রকাশ জন্য, অমূর্ত সৃষ্টিকে মূর্তিদানের জন্য ভগবান কর্তৃক প্রেরিত।কবির কণ্ঠে ভগবান সাড়া দেন, আমার বাণী সত্যের প্রকাশিকা ভগবানের বাণী। সে বাণী রাজবিচারে রাজদ্রোহী হতে পারে, কিন্তু ন্যায়বিচারে সে বাণী ন্যায়দ্রোহী নয়, সত্যাদ্রোহী নয়।সত্যের প্রকাশ নিরুদ্ধ হবে না। আমার হাতের ধূমকেতু এবার ভগবানের হাতের অগ্নি-মশাল হয়ে অন্যায় অত্যাচার দগ্ধ করবে...।" ১৬ই জানুয়ারি প্রকাশিত বিচারের রায়ে নজরুলের এক বছরের সশ্রম কারাদণ্ড হয়। প্রেসিডেন্সি জেল, আলিপুর সেন্ট্রাল জেল, হুগলি জেল ও বহরমপুর জেলে বন্দী জীবন কাটিয়ে ১৯২৩ সালের ১৫ই ডিসেম্বর মুক্তি পান। এই পর্বে নোবেলজয়ী বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরকে বিদ্রোহী কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের প্রতি সহৃদয় ও স্নেহপূর্ণ আচরণ করতে দেখা যায়। রবীন্দ্রনাথ নজরুলের আবেদনে সাড়া দিয়ে ধূমকেতু পত্রিকার জন্য একটি আন্তরিক আশীর্বাণী পাঠান,"কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম কল্যাণীয়েষু- আয় চলে আয়রে ধূমকেতু/আঁধারে বাঁধ অগ্নিসেতু, দুর্দিনের এই দুর্গশিরে/উড়িয়ে দে তোর বিজয়কেতন।" ১৯২৩ সালের ২২শে জানুয়ারি নজরুল যখন আলিপুর সেন্ট্রাল জেলে রয়েছেন তখন রবীন্দ্রনাথ তাঁর 'বসন্ত' গীতিনাট্যটি তাঁকে উৎসর্গ করেন। সাহিত্যিক পবিত্র গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় রবিঠাকুরের দস্তখত সম্বলিত বইটির একটি কপি নজরুলের কাছে পৌঁছে দেন। নজরুল হুগলি জেলে থাকাকালীন ইংরেজ জেল-সুপারের দুর্ব্যবহারের প্রতিবাদে অনশন ধর্মঘট শুরু করেন। নজরুলের স্বাস্থ্যহানির আশঙ্কায় রবীন্দ্রনাথ টেলিগ্ৰাম করেন, "Give up hunger strike, our literature claims you." (অনশন ভঙ্গ কর, তোমাকে আমাদের সাহিত্যের প্রয়োজন রয়েছে।) টেলিগ্ৰামটি অবশ্য নজরুলের কাছে পৌঁছায়নি কারণ সেটা পাঠানো হয়েছিল প্রেসিডেন্সি জেলের ঠিকানায়। ২২শে মে মাতৃসমা বিরজাসুন্দরী দেবীর হাতে লেবুর রস পান করে নজরুল চল্লিশ দিনের অনশন ভঙ্গ করেন।

নজরুল ইসলাম যেমন বিদ্রোহী কবি তেমনি সাম্যবাদী কবি। তাঁর বিদ্রোহ বা বিরোধিতা ছিল সকল প্রকার অসাম্য ও বৈষম্যের বিরুদ্ধে। তিনি সরাসরি বলেছেন, "গাহি সাম্যের গান-/যেখানে আসিয়া এক হয়ে গেছে সব বাধা ব্যবধান।" নারী ও পুরুষের মধ্যে সাম্য বা সমানাধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠায় সোচ্চার হয়েছেন। অত্যন্ত স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ করেছেন, "সাম্যের গান গাই-/আমার চক্ষে পুরুষ-রমণী কোনো ভেদাভেদ নাই।/বিশ্বে যা কিছু মহান সৃষ্টি চির কল্যাণকর/অর্ধেক তার করিয়াছে নারী, অর্ধেক তার নর।" আসলে সাহিত্যকে তিনি সমাজ সংস্কারের হাতিয়ার হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে চেয়েছিলেন। সেজন্য প্রায় শতবর্ষ আগে লেখা কথাগুলো আজও বারবার উদ্ধৃত হয়ে থাকে। সেগুলো কখনও অপ্রাসঙ্গিক হয়ে পড়ে না। এর দ্বারা অবশ্য তিনি নিজেকেই মিথ্যা প্রমাণ করেছেন; তিনি কেবল 'হুজুগের কবি' ছিলেন না। তিনি একজন কালোত্তীর্ণ কবি। তাঁর লেখার একটা চিরকালীন আবেদন রয়েছে।

নজরুল ইসলাম ব্রিটিশ শাসিত বাংলায় হিন্দু-মুসলমানের মধ্যে সম্প্রীতি গড়ে তুলতে আন্তরিক প্রয়াস গ্ৰহণ করেন। তিনি হিন্দু-মুসলমানের মধ্যে মিল, ঐক্য ও নৈকট্য বোঝাতে যে উপমা ব্যবহার করেছেন তার কোনো তুলনা হয় না, "মোরা এক বৃন্তে দুটি কুসুম হিন্দু-মোসলমান।মুসলিম তার নয়নমণি, হিন্দু তাহার প্রাণ।" তিনি যেকোনো ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামির তীব্র বিরোধী ছিলেন। এজন্য মোল্লা-পুরুতদের একদম পছন্দ করতেন না।তিনি সমান দক্ষতার সঙ্গে ইসলামী গান গজলের পাশাপাশি সনাতনী গান শ্যামাসঙ্গীত রচনা করেছেন। তাঁর সঙ্গীতে ঈশ্বর-আল্লার বন্দনা মানব বন্দনায় রূপান্তরিত হয়েছে। তিনি সবসময় মনুষ্যত্বের জয়গান গেয়েছেন।বারবার বলার চেষ্টা করেছেন, "মানুষের চেয়ে বড় কিছু নাই, নহে কিছু মহীয়ান।" তিনি বিশ্বাস করতেন ধর্ম কখনও মানবিকতার থেকে বড় হতে পারে না, "মিথ্যা শুনিনি ভাই, /এই হৃদয়ের চেয়ে বড় কোনো মন্দির কাবা নাই।"

নজরুল ইসলাম শুধু সাহিত্যের মধ্যেই সাম্প্রদায়িকতা ও ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামির বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর সংগ্ৰামকে সীমাবদ্ধ রাখেননি, বরং বৃহত্তর জীবনে ব্যবহারিক ক্ষেত্রেও তার প্রয়োগ ঘটিয়েছেন। মুসলিম কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের হিন্দু আশালতা সেনগুপ্তকে তখনকার দিনে (এপ্রিল ১৯২৪) স্ব স্ব ধর্ম বজায় রেখে বিয়ে করার সিদ্ধান্ত কোনো মামুলি ব্যাপার ছিল না।পরস্পরের প্রতি তীব্র ভালোবাসার পাশাপাশি ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামিকে অস্বীকার করার দৃঢ় মানসিক জোর না থাকলে দুই বিধর্মীর মধ্যে বিয়ে সম্ভব হত না।আশালতাকে মেঘনাদ বধ কাব্যের প্রমীলা করে নজরুল সহধর্মিণীর সাহসকে কুর্নিশ জানান। নজরুল তাঁর সন্তানদের নামকরণেও ধর্মীয় মিলনের সন্ধান করেন। তাঁর চার পুত্র সন্তানের নাম ছিল: ১.কৃষ্ণ মহম্মদ (জন্ম ও মৃত্যু-১৯২৫), ২. অরিন্দম খালেদ বুলবুল (১৯২৬-১৯৩০), ৩.কাজী সব্যসাচী ইসলাম (১৯২৯-১৯৭৯) ও ৪.কাজী অনিরুদ্ধ ইসলাম (১৯৩১-১৯৭৪)। সব্যসাচী ও অনিরুদ্ধ দুজনেরই হিন্দু মেয়ের সঙ্গে বিয়ে হয়।

নজরুল ইসলাম খুব হাসিখুশি, আত্মভোলা, মজলিসি মানুষ ছিলেন। উচ্চ রবে হাসতে ভালোবাসতেন। আড্ডায় বসে মাঝে মধ্যেই বলে উঠতেন, ''দে গরুর গা ধুইয়ে।'' কিন্তু এই প্রাণখোলা মানুষটি পুত্র বুলবুলের অকাল মৃত্যু মেনে নিতে পারেননি। প্রচণ্ড শোকাহত হয়ে মানসিক শান্তি লাভের জন্য তন্ত্র সাধনা শুরু করেন। তবে এজন্য লেখালেখিতে কোনো খামতি ঘটেনি। ১৯৩৯ সালে প্রমীলা দেবী পক্ষাঘাতগ্রস্ত হওয়ার পর নজরুলের জীবনে অন্ধকার নেমে আসে। তাঁর মানসিক জোর কমে যায়। লেখনীতেও ভাটা পড়ে। তাঁর কণ্ঠে বিদায়ের সুর বাজতে শুরু করে। ১৯৪১ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে বঙ্গীয় মুসলমান সাহিত্য সমিতির রজত জুবিলী উৎসবে সভাপতির ভাষণে তিনি বলেন, "যদি আর বাঁশি না বাজে, আমি কবি বলে বলছিনে, আমি আপনাদের ভালোবাসা পেয়েছিলাম সেই অধিকারে বলছি, আমায় ক্ষমা করবেন, আমায় ভুলে যাবেন। বিশ্বাস করুন, আমি কবি হতে আসিনি, আমি নেতা হতে আসিনি, আমি প্রেম দিতে এসেছিলাম, প্রেম পেতে এসেছিলাম, সে প্রেম পেলাম না বলে আমি এই প্রেমহীন নিরস পৃথিবী থেকে নীরব অভিমানে চিরদিনের জন্যে বিদায় নিলাম।"

১৯৪২ সালের ৯ই জুলাই আকাশবাণী কলকাতা কেন্দ্রে অনুষ্ঠান করার সময় তিনি অসুস্থবোধ করেন এবং তাঁর জিহ্বা আড়ষ্ট হয়ে আসে। কিন্তু অর্থের অভাবে তিনি উন্নত চিকিৎসা করাতে পারেননি। সামান্য হোমিওপ্যাথি ও কবিরাজি চিকিৎসা করা হয় কিন্তু তাতে আরোগ্য লাভ সম্ভব হয়নি। বরং অসুস্থতা আরও বাড়তে থাকে। তাঁর বাকশক্তি রদ হয়ে যায়। তিনি স্মৃতিশক্তি হারিয়ে ফেলেন এবং তাঁর মানসিক ভারসাম্য নষ্ট হয়ে যায়। শেষ পর্যন্ত হাঁটা চলা করতেও অসুবিধা হয়। এর ফলে নজরুল-প্রমীলার দুঃসহ কষ্টের জীবন শুরু হয়। তাঁদের সংসারে তখন নুন আনতে পান্তা ফুরায় অবস্থা। বাংলার তৎকালীন অর্থমন্ত্রী শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের সভাপতিত্বে সাহিত্যিক তারাশঙ্কর বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, শনিবারের চিঠি পত্রিকার সম্পাদক সজনীকান্ত দাস, কলকাতার মেয়র সৈয়দ বদরুদ্দোজা ও শিক্ষাবিদ হুমায়ূন কবীর প্রমুখ ব্যক্তিদের নিয়ে 'নজরুল সাহায্য সমিতি' গঠন করা হয়।অসুস্থ হওয়ার এক দশক পর ১৯৫৩ সালে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য কবিকে ইউরোপ পাঠানো হয়। পরীক্ষা নিরীক্ষা করে সেখানকার ডাক্তাররা জানিয়ে দেন, কবির আরোগ্য লাভের কোনো সম্ভাবনা নেই।

নজরুল ইসলাম সাধারণ মানুষের ভালোবাসার পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠান ও সরকারের কাছ থেকেও স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছেন। ১৯২৯ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসে তাঁকে কলকাতা এ্যালবার্ট হলে বাঙালি জাতির পক্ষ থেকে এক বর্ণাঢ্য সংবর্ধনা দেওয়া হয়। সভাপতিত্ব করেন বিজ্ঞানী আচার্য প্রফুল্লচন্দ্র রায়, মানপত্র পাঠ করেন ব্যারিস্টার এস ওয়াজেদ আলী, বক্তৃতা করেন বিশিষ্ট রাজনীতিক সুভাষচন্দ্র বসু। ১৯৪৫ সালে কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তাঁকে 'জগত্তারিণী স্বর্ণপদক' প্রদান করে। ১৯৬০ সালে ভারত সরকার দেয় পদ্মভূষণ পুরস্কার।

১৯৬২ সালের ৩০শে জুন কবিপত্নী প্রমীলা দেবী প্রয়াত হন। নিজে শয্যাশায়ী হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তিনি তাঁর ভালোবাসার মানুষটির প্রতি সবসময় নজর রাখতেন। তাঁর জীবনাবসান হবার পর কবির সেবা শুশ্রূষায় অবহেলা ও অযত্ন বাড়তে থাকে। ১৯৭২ সালের ২৪শে মে বাংলাদেশ সরকার কবিকে ঢাকা নিয়ে যায়। ধানমন্ডির একটি বাড়িতে রাষ্ট্রীয় মর্যাদায় রাখা হয়। বাড়িটির নামকরণ করা হয় 'কবিভবন'। তাঁকে বাংলাদেশের নাগরিকত্ব প্রদান করা হয়। তিনি বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় কবি ঘোষিত হন। কবির জীবনের শেষ তেরো মাস কাটে বাংলাদেশের পিজি হাসপাতালে। প্রায় ৩৪ বছর ধরে নির্বাক ও ভাষাহীন থাকার পর ১৯৭৬ সালের ২৯শে আগস্ট সকাল ১০টা ১০ মিনিটে কবি চিরতরে ঘুমিয়ে পড়েন। কবির মরদেহ যথাযোগ্য রাষ্ট্রীয় মর্যাদায় ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় মসজিদ প্রাঙ্গণে সমাহিত করা হয়। কবির কফিন বহনকারীদের মধ্যে ছিলেন বাংলাদেশের তৎকালীন রাষ্ট্রপতি বিচারপতি মোহাম্মদ সায়েম ও প্রধান সেনাপতি মেজর জেনারেল জিয়াউর রহমান। কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের জীবনের ট্রাজেডির পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে বলা যায়, "তুমি বাঁচিয়াও মরিয়া রহিলে দীর্ঘকাল/তুমি মরিয়াও বাঁচিয়া রহিবে চিরকাল।"

praise or blame.

It's the reader who can value

None I verily claim.

The pangs of life I feel;feel I

equally the joy of life.

I see the sufferings they undergo.

Observe do I how they overcome

troubles and tribulations of mundane life .

I love them all; I feel for them.

I write on what life gives me to.

Joy and woe together they go

to make Man's life easy to flow.

As darkness and light or night and day

Come by turns each day;

Only joys or sorrows can never stand

alone along the life 's way.

Hasan Nashid (Md. Hasan Ali) was born on August 15, 1991, in Sreebordi, in the Sherpur district of Bangladesh. Among his 16 books, such as ‘Bhalobasar Proticchabi’, ‘You Can Rich’, ‘The Giantess’, 'The Green School’, ‘My Father is My Story',’ ‘The Mustard Flower',’ etc. The books are stories, essays, and poems. Recently, his writing 'Communal' was published in the textbook 'Business & Love' of the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Indonesia, and in a research paper from PNGB, Dibrugarh University, India; University of Malta, Malta; and Jadavpur University, India. He also has several collections of essays and new and selected poems. His awards for poetry include the ‘Golden Eagle Award 2023 from Mil Mentes Pro Mexico International, Mexico’ 'Anushilan Award for Poetry, 2016', 'Shishu-Kishor Phulkali, 2008', 'Jhal Award for Poetry, 2016', and language recognition from Chittagong University and University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, for his discovery of animal language patterns in 2023. There are also 20 Plus Research Presentation Awards from different countries. He travels extensively, both nationally and internationally, for poetry collections and research. He is serving as Research Director of the Sustainable Disadvantaged Development Foundation (SDDF). He is working to establish a university for the citizens of his area. Besides doing PhD research, he has also been working as editor of 'Masik Bhor' magazine since 2016, SDDF Journal, and subeditor of The Pen Magazine by. Eva Lianou Petropoulou, Greece, since 2023. He is a multi-award-winning author. The author writes fiction and nonfiction about thrillers, mysteries, fantasy, westerns, and romance. In his spare time, he writes short stories, poetry, children's stories, children's books, diaries, journals, and inspiring books with drawing and sketching.

In the darkness of the night the aroma illuminates

Love is breath of air impregnated

Instant refreshment of the wandering soul

Of sweet duality every day sought.

Thought has persistent tuberous roots

Of the embrace surrounding the brides

Which the circular gaze resembles

That crosses in the desired goal

Of a meeting in mid-spring

Of the natural cyclic green season

Of age sum and multiply passion.

Of the two units reassembled is the whole

Biography ofElisa Mascia:

She was born in Santa Croce di Magliano (Cb) in 1956, she lives in San Giuliano di Puglia (Cb). She is a teacher, poet, writer, declaimer, reviewer, juror at cultural events, cultural manager around the world.

Fractal of life

The land where the sun is buried at 90 degrees north latitude

Even the stars were buried

The white light of youth,

It didn"t fade away for a long time

white blood stains

I can"t open my eyes to this sad tone.

A static language that makes even the earth heavenly.

Even in my dreams,

I pray to remember the language.

The earth swallows all the blood of the stars.

Only then does the earth turn bloody

Fluff sprouts on the trees,
