I Will  Come Too

In the evening of another day without you
Dirty shadows hovering over me
The post of a street lamp is guarding me
The shadow of the bullets pierces my body
Only thing on my mind is you, my hope is to meet one day
I'm living face to face with death every moment
Armed separatists are shooting bullets at my dreams.
I hid you in the deeps of my mind
Don't be afraid, they won't find
The shadows of treacherous bullets can't take you away from me
If buzzing bullets stop for a moment
I take it out of my stash and watch
I don't care about the buzzing bullets
Don't worry if something happens to you while I'm gone
I won't leave you alone without me
I ride a shadow and I go
Your dream in my stash
I ride a shadow and I'll come too
I will come too.

তোমাকে ছাড়া অন্য দিনের সন্ধ্যাতে
নোংরা ছায়াগুলো আমার উপর ঘোরাফেরা করছে
রাস্তার বাতির পোস্ট আমাকে পাহারা দিচ্ছে
গুলির ছায়া আমার শরীরে বিঁধছে
আমার মনে একটাই কথা তুমি, আমার আশা একদিন দেখা হবে
আমি প্রতি মুহূর্তে মৃত্যুর মুখোমুখি হয়ে আছি বেঁচে
সশস্ত্র বিচ্ছিন্নতাবাদীরা আমার স্বপ্নে গুলি চালাচ্ছে।
আমি মনের গভীরে লুকিয়ে রেখেছিলাম তোমাকে
ভীত হয়ো না, তারা খুঁজে পাবে না
বিশ্বাসঘাতক বুলেটের ছায়া তোমাকে আমার থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে নিতে পারবে না
গুঞ্জন গুলি যদি এক মুহুর্তের জন্য থামে
আমি এটি আমার লুক্কায়িত স্থান থেকে বের করে দেখি
আমি গুঞ্জনগুলি সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করি না
চিন্তা করো না যদি তোমার কিছু হয় আমার যাওয়ার সময়
আমাকে ছাড়া তোমাকে একা ছাড়ব না
আমি ছায়ায় চড়ি এবং আমি যাই
আমার লুক্কায়িত স্থানে তোমার স্বপ্ন
আমি ছায়ায় চড়ি এবং আমিও আসব
আমিও আসব।

About the Poet:
Savaş Sarikaya was born on 07.07.1971 in Çiçektepe Town of Dinar District of Afyonkarahisar, Turkiye. He completed his primary school education in the same village, and his secondary and high school education in Aydin. Later, he graduated from Gazi University Middle Level Management Department in 1994. He graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Management and Organization in 2004.
The poet is the Vice President of the Aydın Writers and Poets Association and a member of the editorial board of Aydın Efesi magazine. His poems have been translated into more than 30 languages and published in newspapers and magazines in many countries. He was included in the 1st volume of the World Contemporary Poets Encyclopedia published in America. He has won first prize in many competitions around the world. In January 2025, he received an Honorary Doctorate and a protective shield from UNESCO UNIFALL. He was also given the best poet award in Turkey. In 2021, his books Adını Sen Koy - and in 2023, Ben Hiçbir Lisan Bilmem were published.
