Poem - He Flame of Longing

He Flame of Longing
(To my homeland)
Kujtim Hajdari (Albania)

Tonight, the sky feels heavy,
As if it is burdened with dark blue,
Upon my weary body that aches,
Upon my eyes, dissolved on a map.

I hear from there  the cries of memories,
A piece of the soul forgotten somewhere,
The migrations add wounds to me,
And the flame of longing to extinguish.

They say time covers much,
Puts memories into lethargy,
But I don't know what happened to me,
This flame burns me and turns me into ash.

সে আকুলতার শিখা
(আমার জন্মভূমির দিকে)
কুজতিম হাজদারি (আলবেনিয়া)

আজ রাতে আকাশ ভারী লাগছে,
যেন গাঢ় নীল রঙে ভারাক্রান্ত,
আমার ক্লান্ত শরীরের উপর যা অবিরাম বেদনা ভোগ করে,
আমার চোখের উপর, মানচিত্রে দ্রবীভূত।

আমি স্মৃতির আর্তনাদ শুনি সেখান থেকে,
কোথাও ভুলে যাওয়া আত্মার এক টুকরো,
পরিযান আমার মধ্যে ক্ষত যোগ করে,
আর নিভে যাওয়ার আকাঙ্ক্ষার শিখা।

তারা বলে সময় অনেক কিছু ঢেকে রাখে,
স্মৃতিগুলিকে অলসতায় ফেলে,
কিন্তু আমি জানি না আমার কী হয়েছে,
এই শিখা আমাকে পুড়ায় এবং দেয় ছাই করে ।
