What If

In the quiet whispers of the night,
Dreams of what could have been take flight,
Moments lost in time's embrace,
Echoes of a different place.
Paths untaken, roads unseen,
Visions of what might have been,
Yet in the heart, a gentle glow,
Guides us where we need to go.
Regrets may linger, shadows cast,
But life moves forward, not the past,
Embrace the now, let go the pain,
Find the beauty in the rain.
For every "what if" that we mourn,
A new dawn rises, hope reborn,
In the present, find your peace,
And let the haunting questions cease.
