NTPC Farakka CSR conducted successful free Eye Camp, treats 243 cataract patients

NTPC Farakka, as part of its CSR initiative, in association with Udita Ladies Club, successfully concluded a five-day free cataract surgery camp at the Field Hostel Hospital from January 21st to 25th, 2023.
The closing ceremony was held on January 25, 2023, with the Chief Guest, Shri Sanjiv Kumar, CGM Farakka, and Guest of Honor, Smt. Maya Singh, President of Udita Ladies Club, in attendance. Additionally, GMs, HOHR and other HODs from various departments, the CMO, Representative of Unions and all members of the hospital team were present at the
ceremony.
A month-long cataract screening process was conducted at the NTPC Farakka Hospital, with
five screening camps held in various locations throughout West Bengal and Jharkhand. Over 600 patients were screened and 243 were selected for final surgery.
The beneficiaries of the Eye Camp were divided into two groups, with 121 people being operated on 22 January and 122 people being operated on 24 January. Additionally, the Udita Ladies Club made a significant contribution by donating blankets and food to all of the
operated beneficiaries upon their departure.
The initiative by NTPC Farakka is a demonstration of the company's dedication to the well-being of the community and its efforts to address the critical healthcare needs of the region.
