;Puspo Provat 24th January:The 123rd birthday of

was observed enthusiastically in Islampur,   Islampur municipality arranged rally early in the morning and concluded it at Islampur Bus Terminus. Sit and draw  competition and clothe distribution along with blood donation camp was arranged. Students of various school and people of all sorts of the society took part in the rally.The program was addressed by Mr Kanhaiya Lal Agarwala, chairman of Islampur municipality and Mr Ghulam Rabbani MoS, Labour Department government of West Bengal. Along with that various schools also observed the day in a colourful way.
 Other political parties like CPIM, Congress and DSO also arranged program on the birthday of the national Hero.
